Ten Potential Daphne's

The hatch didn't go as well as we may have hoped, but I talked to Velvet because I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough pullets to go around.  I couldn't believe it when she said we were the only ones so far to want one!  How could someone not want such fluffiness?  She told me that six Light Brahmas and four Buff Brahmas hatched.  That is ten potential Daphne's.  While we recognize that it is certainly possible for all ten to be cockerels, the odds are highly against it.  It has come done the pipeline that there seems to be a preference for Light.  Well all I can say is that there is a 3/2 likely odd that she will be Light.  All we can do is wait and see.  (Paula seems to have a special fondness for #36, Spaghetti, a Light, but we'll just keep that between us.)  (As for me, I have a soft spot for #48, Rambo, the first one hatched)  (Speaking of which, how do you guys feel about Daphne Rambo?  It is kind of growing on me.)  (I love parenthesis, therefore Daphne is likely too to.  Might as well get used to it)  (Okay, done, no more!) 

A good friend of ours, Rae, lost a Brahma rooster (naturally, nothing bad) a while back and he was super, super special.  We are kind of hoping his spirit helps us chose the right one.  We would be super honored if his spirit were to be reincarnated and he would get to spend his next life with us (as a girl of course).  It is a nice thought.
